I was also told that you cannot use an ordinary step down transformer as a step up Tx, but why ?
Could,’t find any difference on the int. now the Company have to buy a new Tx instead of using the existing TX.
Is there anybody who can give an explanation please ?

There are other differences. When you order a 75kva step up transformer the part number is different than a 75kva step down transformer.
I have been told by a supplier that the difference has to do with inrush current. I was looking for the specific differences.
